Moving, moving, moving

I should be cleaning and unpacking now but I am burned out. My house is still a wreck and I am out of energy.

Our new place is good. I like it a lot better than our old one even though this one is much older and was pretty filthy when we moved in- seriously, our feet were all black. Who rents a house out when it is dirty???

And apparently I am the only female on the planet not reading that new Twilight book. I hear from several of your blogs it is good but disappointing??? I tried reading the first one and couldn't get into it- Oddly enough it wasn't the vampire thing that turned me off but the whole teenage love story thing kind of killed it for me. Are the books truly good enough that I ought to give them a second chance? Lover and haters, enlighten me please...

I am currently reading Life of Pi for the book group I started. I am creating a new blog for the book group and others who want to discuss the books we read for it or other non mom related things (we could all use a break from the "mom roll" now and again, couldn't we? This blog shall be revealed soon (that is, whenever my house is no longer a total disaster and I am ready to put some time into making it presentable).

If you didn't like the first one, don't bother with any of the others..it's all down hill from there!

Ok, I didnt know you moved, I need to hear about that. I loved the twilight books. The first one does take a bit to get into, but all and all I though t it was a fun series, nothing to serious, just fun. The last one was fine, the 3rd, to me, was the best. Try them.

I read Life of Pi a couple of years ago after I heard so many raves and to honest, I thought it was just fine. Interesting enough, some good philosophy, but nothing that I loved.

Nichole-
Here are a few places to look for pre-made blog backgrounds:
cutest blog on the block, Pyzam, and this one:
http://sams-scraps.blogspot.com/ which I think has super cute ones. If you want a custom one, which are the ones I use on my background, I'd be happy to make one for you. It only takes me a few minutes...email me at jaynahaws@yahoo.com

Good luck!

I think it's worth it to read the Twilight series - and this is coming from a pretty unbiased perspective. I am not in love with the series as every other female on the planet is. I LIKED the series, but I didn't LOVE it. That being said, though, I'm really glad I read it. You should give it another shot, and if you still can't get into it, then perhaps vamps and werewolves aren't for you...

Stephenie Meyer's other book, The Host, I liked much more than the Twilight series, so maybe you'll like that one more, too.

I must say that the twilight books are my obsession. but sometimes I still think High school was like a year ago. The 2nd one definately drags in the begining but the 3rd and final I loooved and did not seem like teen books to me. especially the last. Anyway. hope moving is going ok.

I really like the Twilight books, they have been very entertaining for me. I am ready for them to end however, so good thing this is the last one. I have to wait for Chelsea to finish so I can have my turn. Love ya.
