Valentine's (aka "My First") Quilt completed!

I finished binding my first quilt today and I am so excited! It is far from perfect but I had to keep reminding myself that it was my first quilt and that I will improve with practice. And that is probably what I like best about sewing. It is one of the few things that I can actually notice myself improving on every time I do it, and that makes me feel good.

Anyway- It is just a throw blanket size but I did diagonal quilting on it with a pieced binding. It was lots of fun to do! I got the free pattern here. FYI: it will be years before I actually pay for a quilt pattern because there are so many great free ones floating around out there.

I have almost finished quilt #2 and I guess I better take my husband's advice and slow down so our house isn't overrun with quilts.
