Convertable car seat

We are probably going to be buying a convertible car seat in the next couple of months for Kylie and I wanted some input from people on what they have used and what they thought of them. I had been planning on going with the Cosco/Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite but now I am not so sure. Any of you mothers or grandmothers out there want to give any advice?
thanks!

Cute picture in the banner! I got the FP Safe Voyage Deluxe (http://www.albeebaby.com/fiprsavodeco1.html) after doing a ton of research and I really like it. It was made by Britax for Fisher Price as a more affordable line but they have since discontinued making them. You can still find them on closeout for about $130 (originally $200). It ranks really high in safety, durability, etc. Jordan's is red but I couldn't find a picture of it so I just linked the black one. The only thing I wish it did that it doesn't is recline. My nephew has a britax that will recline just a little and it's so nice when they fall asleep...not sure if it's worth the extra $80 though. Hope that helps!

Hi Nichole...just stopping in. Love all the updates! Had to say- DON'T get that carset! It has the worst buckle that is like a chinese puzzle and a recipe for pinching chubby legs/ impossible to buckle when tantrums are in process. (My parents bought this once upon a time for their house...after a few times of frustration it was adiosed!) I suggest Britax Marathon or Decathalon 110%...they are pricey up front, but when you consider your kid is going to be sitting in it until 80lbs. or 5 ft tall, then it seems like a good investment!) SOrry for the novel...you asked!

Just use some twine and duct tape. It worked for my kids and was replaceable and cheap.

So that's the one we have... We love it! I think it's a must for them to recline. And we haven't had any problems with our buckles but we don't know anything about chubby legs. We should have tried Kylie in it while you were here. Good luck!
